2019 Orangutan Fundraising Photography Tour TOUR COMMENCES JAKARTA 05 MAY
Led by professional photographer Jackie Peers, this is a 7 night photography tour to Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo to raise funds for the conservation of wild orangutans.
"The tour aims to raise awareness of the plight of wild orangutans, whilst closely observing their behaviour to enable us to photograph them more astutely. "
Jackie Peers comes from Christchurch, New Zealand, where she ran a busy wedding and portrait studio for over 12 years. She has recently returned after spending 10 years away in Japan, Hong Kong and the last 6 months in Indonesia. Her projects have broadened to include travel, still life, street photography, writing for local magazines, and the orangutans in Southern Borneo.
The tour will cater to all levels of expertise:- you may have just purchased a new camera and are keen to put it to use, or you may have owned a good-quality camera for some time without ever fully utilising its features. Still others may be expert photographers requiring no technical guidance at all, but just seeking wonderful locations off the beaten track.
